Klaviyo is seeking an experienced and highly engaged Senior Counsel, Partnerships to be the primary legal advisor to the Partnerships team. We are seeking a talented, solutions-oriented attorney with expertise in supporting the building and execution of partnership programs and negotiating complex partner agreements.  This is a great opportunity for a team-oriented, agile, attorney with an owner and leadership mindset looking to make a meaningful impact to the business.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Provide proactive strategic legal and business guidance to the Partnerships team to support global partner expansion and execution of partner programs
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of partnership agreements, including with technology partners, GSIs, platform partners, and other strategic partners
  • Partner closely with Product on terms related to product integrations.
  • Advise on legal risks, including intellectual property, anti-competition, licensing, privacy and other issues related to partnership structures and agreements
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders (Partnerships, Finance, Marketing, Security and other teams) to launch new partner programs, refine existing programs and implement scalable processes to effectively support the programs
  • Provide ad-hoc legal support to business teams on ad-hoc legal matters

Who You Are

  • Minimum 5 years of combined relevant experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal team supporting partnerships and commercial transactions.
  • Degree and membership in at least one state bar
  • Pragmatic and solution-driven creative thinker with sound business judgment focused on execution; can skillfully balance legal requirements with practical business solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate well with diverse, cross functional teams
  • Curious about an evolving industry, has a great personality, and likes to learn and to challenge yourself

The pay range for this role is listed below. Sales roles are also eligible for variable compensation and hourly non-exempt roles are eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law. This role is eligible for benefits, including: medical, dental and vision coverage, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k), flexible paid time off and company-paid holidays and a culture of learning that includes a learning allowance and access to a professional coaching service for all employees.

Base Pay Range For US Locations:
$204,000$306,000 USD
