Director, SMB Sales @ Klaviyo!

Job Summary:

Responsible for leading a team of regional segment sales front-line managers and corresponding team of Account Executives. This includes hiring, training, forecast management, performance analysis, and day-to-day coaching/talent development. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of regional NewCo Sales Managers and AEs
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations 
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Rapidly scale and lead a regional segment-wide sales team
  • Put our customers first as you design and execute the best possible experience for potential customers that engage with Klaviyo
  • Accurately forecast and model monthly, quarterly, and annual sales
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and effectiveness of your team.
  • Partner with Marketing, Partnerships, Enablement, People Operations, Customer Success, Finance, Product, Legal and Solution Architecture on driving the best customer experience and best results for Klaviyo
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Strong track record of building high performing sales teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong coaching skills and a growth-mindset that comes from a deep belief in the development of their team
  • Ability to use data to inform decision making
  • Strong ability to work with leadership to define and implement successful new programs
  • Strategic mindset to define and execute sales strategies
  • Results oriented, highly motivated, enthusiastic attitude and the ability to work independently
  • Deep understanding of SaaS and sales economics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Who You Are:

  • 6+ years of sales management experience, experience at a hyper-growth SaaS company preferred and MarTech a plus
  • 2+ years leading front-line sales managers, highly preferred
  • A strategic go-to-market operator with an understanding of how to pull growth levers across product, marketing, partners, and success.
  • Strong coaching skills and a growth-mindset that comes from a deep belief in the development of their team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience, a Bachelor’s degree or above a plus.

The pay range for this role is listed below. Sales roles are also eligible for variable compensation and hourly non-exempt roles are eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law. This role is eligible for benefits, including: medical, dental and vision coverage, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k), flexible paid time off and company-paid holidays and a culture of learning that includes a learning allowance and access to a professional coaching service for all employees.

Base Pay Range For US Locations:
$168,000$252,000 USD
