Klaviyo is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Strategic Finance Analyst (Boston Hub Based) to join the FP&A team. This person will play a critical role in helping guide investment and capital allocation decisions for the business. The individual will partner cross-functionally across departments to analyze projects and provide a clear view on return on investment. Example projects include: maintaining and updating our long range plan, analyzing potential product launches to determine ROI, and supporting corporate development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, strategic planning, and an understanding of SQL. This candidate will have a strong foundation in corporate finance, analyzing business or investment performance, and collaborating cross-functionally in a high-growth environment.
How You Will Make a Difference
- Building and maintaining financial models to analyze investment decisions across product, engineering, and go-to-market.
- Evaluating and setting hurdle rate targets for investments across the company.
- Partnering with business stakeholders to model and analyze investment analyses.
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities, leveraging data-driven analysis to provide a range of outcomes to influence business decisions.
Who You Are
- Role requires 3 days per week in the Boston office.
- 3-5 years of FP&A, Finance, Investment Banking, PE / VC or Equity Research experience, particularly in SaaS or high-growth companies.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Strong proficiency in building financial models with solid understanding of corporate financial principles.
- Strong understanding of ARR metrics and understanding of usage and subscription-based business models.
- Ability to derive insights from data to drive strategic business decisions.
- Proficiency in SQL (Snowflake experience preferred)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a sharp attention to detail.
- Effective communicator, able to present complex financial data clearly to executives.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and thrives in fast-paced environments.
- Experience with Snowflake, Thoughtspot, Tableau, and NetSuite preferred.
The pay range for this role is listed below. Sales roles are also eligible for variable compensation and hourly non-exempt roles are eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law.
