Klaviyo is looking for a Staff Revenue Accountant who will be a key contributor to the Revenue Accounting Team. This position will report to the Revenue Accounting Manager and will be responsible for preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, assisting with quarterly and annual reporting, collaborating cross functionally, and will play a key role in assisting with developing and maintaining scalable revenue recognition processes. 

How You'll Make a Difference

  • Support the month end close process, including preparing relevant journal entries, performing balance sheet account reconciliations, and performing account analysis on period over period account fluctuations.
  • Assist in assessing the accounting treatment for new revenue agreements and products.
  • Help support the integration of new revenue streams into our existing systems.
  • Participate in various system automation and enhancement projects to promote more timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures, and assist with implementing internal control procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal audit to ensure control effectiveness over the revenue process.
  • Assist with supporting the external audit firm with quarterly review requests, as well as interim and year-end audit requests.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as they arise.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excel capabilities required; experience with ERP tools a plus.
  • Ability to work on and prioritize multiple projects while continuing to meet goals and deadlines for ongoing tasks.
  • Ability to identify errors and root causes of errors, and work collaboratively to develop workable solutions or alternatives to avoid errors going forward.
  • Ability to continuously help improve revenue processes and tools and help support projects to promote system improvements and efficiencies.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills a plus.
  • Ability to interact with and build productive working relationships across multiple departments.

Who You Are

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting related roles.
  • CPA track and Big Four public accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Technology and SaaS industry experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of GAAP required, ability to apply ASC 606 preferred.

The pay range for this role is listed below. Sales roles are also eligible for variable compensation and hourly non-exempt roles are eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law. Base Pay Range For US Locations:
$70,000$105,000 USD
